Today was an amazing day! Easter, I just love it! It is one of my favorite holidays! Let me just tell you that Kylie and Will are both starting to really understand about God and Jesus and that makes me so proud. Last week, as I was reading a story to Will and he stopped me and said, "Mommy, where does Jesus live?" Wow, is he really listening? Yes, he is. After explaining to him that Jesus lives in Heaven in the clouds and that some day Jesus will live in his heart, he seemed quite content. Kylie understands that God made her and all of the things around her, and the other day she asked Bill and I , "Why did God make my legs and my face like this?" How amazing! I love these questions and I love to hear Bill answer these questions. I love that my children are already asking questions and inquiring about God, I hope their love for Him continues to grow and grow!
Of course, the Easter bunny visited our house last night and both kids had already had their chocolate bunnies before we even got dressed for church. I did make them eat a real breakfast first. After church we came back home and hid the eggs that the easter bunny left for them. Here are a few pictures of the egg hunt at home.
After our nap, we headed back to church for an egg hunt there. The kids had so much fun and they had real, live bunnies and chicks for the kids to pet and hold. Here is a picture of Kylie holding a chick. I was shocked that she actually held it.
I also have to be a proud mama one more time in this blog. After the egg hunt at church was over, there was a little boy who got to the egg hunt late and didn't get any eggs. Kylie chose one egg to give the little boy and then she let him pick another egg from her basket that he wanted. Don't get me wrong, there are definitely more times that she does not share than times that she does, but boy was I sooooo proud of her this afternoon. She had no reason to share with this little boy, who we did not know, yet she gave him two of the eggs that she had found. I love being a mommy and seeing some of the values that we as parents try to teach our kids actually play out in real life. I hope that you all had a wonderful Easter! Until next time.....Tiffanie

Okay...so this is number 2341 reason for having a blog. I get to see these adorable pictures of Will and Kylie and hear about their life lessons and activities. I am really enjoying your blog. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet girl Kylie was...you and Bill are doing a great job raising those two little ones. They are beautiful (and hansome) on the outside and are already showing that they are going to be beautiful people on the inside also...especially since they are already curious about where Jesus wants to live. :)
Thanks again for sharing!! :)
