Happy Easter!

Today was an amazing day! Easter, I just love it! It is one of my favorite holidays! Let me just tell you that Kylie and Will are both starting to really understand about God and Jesus and that makes me so proud. Last week, as I was reading a story to Will and he stopped me and said, "Mommy, where does Jesus live?" Wow, is he really listening? Yes, he is. After explaining to him that Jesus lives in Heaven in the clouds and that some day Jesus will live in his heart, he seemed quite content. Kylie understands that God made her and all of the things around her, and the other day she asked Bill and I , "Why did God make my legs and my face like this?" How amazing! I love these questions and I love to hear Bill answer these questions. I love that my children are already asking questions and inquiring about God, I hope their love for Him continues to grow and grow!

Of course, the Easter bunny visited our house last night and both kids had already had their chocolate bunnies before we even got dressed for church. I did make them eat a real breakfast first. After church we came back home and hid the eggs that the easter bunny left for them. Here are a few pictures of the egg hunt at home.

After our nap, we headed back to church for an egg hunt there. The kids had so much fun and they had real, live bunnies and chicks for the kids to pet and hold. Here is a picture of Kylie holding a chick. I was shocked that she actually held it.
I also have to be a proud mama one more time in this blog. After the egg hunt at church was over, there was a little boy who got to the egg hunt late and didn't get any eggs. Kylie chose one egg to give the little boy and then she let him pick another egg from her basket that he wanted. Don't get me wrong, there are definitely more times that she does not share than times that she does, but boy was I sooooo proud of her this afternoon. She had no reason to share with this little boy, who we did not know, yet she gave him two of the eggs that she had found. I love being a mommy and seeing some of the values that we as parents try to teach our kids actually play out in real life. I hope that you all had a wonderful Easter! Until next time.....Tiffanie

Cakes, cakes, and more cakes!

Hi everyone! For those of you who don't know, I have recently found an interest in cake decorating. I know, very random, yet I really enjoy it. I decided to take the course because I couldn't find anyone who would do a firetruck birthday cake for Will's 2nd birthday party, so I thought I better learn how to do it myself. I took two courses in cake decorating and I look forward to learning more and more about it. I thought that I would share a few of the cakes with you.

The first cake that I decorated was for my mom's birthday.
It is pretty simple, but it turned out really good.

The next cake I did was the firetruck cake for Will's birthday party.

This one took a while, but it was worth it and it was a huge hit at the party!

I then did a cake for my mammaw's birthday party.

And today, I did a cake for Easter dinner with Bill's family.
I think that this is something that I am really going to enjoy. Oh yeah, and they taste good too! Until next time...Tiffanie

Am I really blogging?

After months of reading the blogs of the people who mean so much to me, I have finally decided to take the plunge into the world of blogging. I hope that this will be a great way for my family and friends to follow my children's lives as well as what is going on in my life. I am very passionate and I hope that this quality comes across in my posts. I can't promise that this is going to be the most gripping blog that you read, but I do promise to share with you my life as it is happening. I hope give you a glimpse of the way my children see this amazing world. I also plan to share with your the accomplishments and challenges I face as a stay home mom trying to raise children who love life and Christ as I do. Please join me as I open the doors to my life and welcome you in. Until next time....Tiffanie
