Sorry!

I guess I really need to apologize! I really wanted this blogging thing to be easy, but I have found that it is nearly impossible to find the time to actually sit down at the computer and get my thoughts down. I am officially making blogging a higher priority. So now, for some of the things that have been going on since Easter.

First of all, my kids seem to grow more and more overnight. I can hardly believe how big they are. They really enjoy playing with each other. It is so sweet to watch Kylie try to get Will to lay down so that she can "put him down for his nap" and to hear them sing songs together. Will is really turning into a little boy (which is kind of tough, because I am realizing that I no longer have a baby). He wants to do EVERYTHING that Kylie does and the things he says are absolutely hilarious.

Will has been talking about his "big boy bed" for several weeks now, and with our beach trip coming up, we thought it would be great to not have to rent a crib. So on Wednesday night, Bill converted his crib to a toddler bed while I was giving the kids their baths. When Will saw his new "big boy bed" he was soooooo excited! He climbed up on it and laid down, he put his blankie on the bed, and he asked his sissie to climb up and sit with him. Bill and I were feeling pretty good about the situation. We sat him on his bed for storytime and read several books before having him lay down so that we could cover him up. Upon lying down he says "I get out!!!" I say "Will, you can't get out of your big boy bed, it is time to go to sleep like a big boy" He followed that comment with "put my crib back NOW!!". Wow, I really wasn't expecting that. So as he is crying for us to put his crib back, Bill is indeed putting the crib back together. And of course as soon as he stops crying about his crib, we put him to bed and then he starts crying for his "big boy bed" back!!! Can you believe this craziness! He is still in his crib and we will obviously be waiting for quite a while before we try that again.

Kylie on the other hand thinks that she is not a little kid anymore. As a matter of fact, I just heard her in the monitor talking to her baby (quite sternly) saying "I am not a little kid and people keep calling me a little kid! Don't they know I am a big girl?!" I am not sure who keeps calling her a little kid, but I don't want to be around the next time it happens. There is no telling what she might say! We also took Kylie to Kings Dominion a couple of weeks ago to see Dora! She had so much fun and she was such a good girl.

I have a billion pictures to download to my computer, but for some reason my computer is not recognizing my camera when I attach the USB. I am working on that right now and I will be sure to post some new pictures very soon! Again, I am so sorry for being so slack with this blog. I am definitely going to work harder to share with you all more often! Have a great weekend!

Until next time.....Tiffanie

  2. haha...little does the big girl know that she's being heard on her baby monitor. So funny!

    Yeah....big beds = strange milestone

Layla LOVES her crib, but we've been trying to talk up a big girl bed with LOTS of pillows...I think we're going to wait until the fall (though she'd probably stay in her crib until her legs hung out).

    Glad you're back :-)
